She shared a photo of herself and her husband Tony sunbathing on the beach while on vacation and detailed her health scare in a lengthy caption.

‘Skin cancer. Melanoma. “Not something I expected to hear at 36 years old or 33 weeks pregnant,” Renee began.

The Geelong player then revealed she has already undergone surgery to remove the cancer and is now on the road to a full recovery.

‘I’m grateful to have caught this early, it’s not invasive. Hopefully everything has been cut and gone,” he continued.

Renee then thanked Geelong FC for encouraging players to undergo regular medical checks, which ensured their cancer was caught early.

“I’m so grateful that when I was at Geelong Cats they encouraged us to get our skin checked,” she said.

She added that the melanoma was probably a result of her outdoor lifestyle and promised her fans that she will be very protected from the sun in the future.

‘I have always loved being in the sun. “I love lying by the pool or the beach, going for a walk, enjoying my work being outdoors most of the time and playing sports outdoors,” he shared.
