The NYPD has arrested an alleged pedophile who allegedly used his dog in three separate incidents to lure underage girls into an apartment before sexually assaulting at least one of them.

Brandon Rodriguez, 25, was arrested Tuesday after at least three separate alleged incidents near a Brooklyn apartment.

He has been charged on two counts of acting in a manner harmful to a child, as well as one count of unlawful imprisonment.

The investigation is still ongoing, which means that additional or improved costs may be on the table.

The NYPD previously sought the public’s help to locate Rodriguez after the three separate incidents occurred near a home in the Brownsville neighborhood.

They also released surveillance footage showing the suspect on the morning of what they believe was the first decoy attempt, minutes before it happened.

In the first incident, Rodriguez is said to have approached a 13-year-old girl around 7:39 a.m. on Monday, May 24, asking him to take a photo of him with his dog.

Rodriguez then led the victim into an apartment building, where he fondled her and did not allow her to leave by holding back her backpack and using a dog to block the doorway of the building, police said.

The alleged incident ended after a friend of the victim called her, forcing Rodriguez to flee.

A second alleged incident occurred around 7:10 a.m. the next morning and also involved Rodriguez asking his victim, a 12-year-old girl, to take a photo of him with the dog.

This time, Rodriguez tried to lead the victim to an apartment before the victim got scared and ran away, police said.

Later that morning, a third alleged incident occurred when Rodriguez again asked a young girl to take a picture of him with his dog around 8:31 am.

The 11-year-old girl in this incident became scared after Rodriguez allegedly tried to lead her to an apartment – and she fled, police said.

According to the police, all the incidents took place near a school.

News 12 reports that the Leadership Prep Ocean Hill School sent a letter to parents last week warning them of a predator roaming near the school.

Rodriguez is believed by police to be in possession of one or two dogs, one of which is a Husky and the other a smaller, unknown breed.

After the NYPD began circulating Rodriguez’s name and photo Monday night, he contacted police to turn himself in and was eventually detained by the arrest team, police said. New York Daily News.

According to PIX11 NewsThis isn’t Rodriguez’s first run-in with the law.

Police told PIX11 News that Rodriguez has been arrested twice for rape. The first arrest came in 2015, when he allegedly raped a 15-year-old girl on the roof of a Brooklyn building.

In the first incident, Rodriguez is said to have approached a 13-year-old girl around 7:39 a.m. on Monday, May 24, asking him to take a photo of him with his dog.

Police said the second arrest came in 2019 for raping a 21-year-old woman in a bathroom of the Marriott Marquis in Midtown Manhattan.

It is not clear what happened to those two arrests. DailyMail.com has asked the NYPD for more details.

Rodriguez’s latest arrest comes amid a crime wave in New York City.

According to the NYPD’s CompStat database, 7,304 major crimes were reported in the past 28 days to May 30.

In the same period last year, 5,917 major crimes were reported, symbolizing a 23.4 percent increase this year.

Mayor Bill de Blasio says crime rates have increased as the world was ‘turned upside down’ by COVID. He also blames a backlog in the justice system, as it means criminals are out on the streets longer than before.

The NYPD blames De Blasio’s bail reform, which has resulted in many more suspected criminals being released from prison early, or never getting there at all.
