Sophie has since revealed that she decided to do it because she didn’t want her mother to “go through this alone.”
‘She means the absolute world to me. “She has gone out of her way to help me with any problems she has had in the past,” Sophie told radio station Hit WA.
Tracy said her daughter’s decision was “just crazy.”

“I saw her do it and I said, no, please no, please don’t do this.” “I don’t want you to go through what I’m going through,” Tracy said.
“I think when I sat in the hair salon chair and got ready for the day, but when you actually sit in that chair and normally go to the hair salon, it’s obviously a positive experience.
‘And then having to look inside and see there wasn’t much hair left at the time. And to see Sophie do that and sacrifice her own hair for me, it was crazy.”
The family has launched a GoFundMe.
