LSU receiver Kyren Lacy — tipped as a first-round pick in the NFL Draft — is wanted by police who say he was involved in a fatal car crash.
Police have issued an arrest warrant for the 24-year-old. They allege his speeding on the highway near Lafourche Parish caused a crash around 10 a.m. on Dec. 17 that killed Herman Hall, a 78-year-old former Marine, and injured two others.
A statement from Louisiana State Police said: ‘After the crash, Lacy drove around the scene of the crash and fled south on LA Hwy 20 without stopping to render aid, calling 911 or disclosing his involvement in the crash. report.
“The investigation revealed that the crash occurred as a 2023 Dodge Charger was traveling south on LA Hwy 20.
“The driver of the Dodge Charger, later identified as 24-year-old Kyren Lacy of Thibodaux, recklessly passed multiple vehicles at a high rate of speed by crossing the center line and entering the northbound lane while in a designated no-go zone.
While Lacy was illegally passing the other vehicles, the driver of a northbound pickup truck braked abruptly and swerved to the right to avoid a head-on collision with the oncoming Dodge.

Behind the pickup was a Kia Cadenza whose driver swerved to the left to avoid the oncoming Dodge Charger.

He had his best year of his career at LSU in 2024, with 58 catches for 866 yards and a team-high nine touchdowns in 12 games.
During a three-year stint with the Tigers, the 6-foot-4 Lacy had 112 catches, 1,692 yards and 16 touchdowns.
Fans had speculated that Lacy could be drafted by the Washington Commanders, paving the way for a reunion with his former LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels.
But it now appears that the trajectory of his career is about to take a very different turn.
