Post Malone recently revealed the secret to his body transformation to Joe Rogan after fans started noticing the former’s dramatic weight loss earlier this year.
In a August 8 appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, the 28-year-old rapper shared the one big lifestyle change he made that led to his nearly 60-pound weight loss: cutting sodas out of his diet.
‘The sodas are so bad. It’s so good, but so bad,’ Post Malone, whose birth name is Austin Richard Post, revealed to Rogan, 56.
Although eliminating sodas from his diet helped his dramatic weight loss, the Grammy-nominated singer confessed he hasn’t given up the sugary drink completely.
‘(If) I had a great show, and you know what, I feel a little mean. I’m going to have a Coke on Ice,’ Post Malone shared.

Before & After: Post Malone has revealed that eliminating soda from his diet was a major factor in his nearly 60-pound weight loss. He went from around 240 pounds to 185 pounds

During the interview, Post Malone also shared with the podcast host and UFC commentator exactly what he weighed before and after his dramatic weight loss. It was unclear when Post Malone chose to make changes to his diet.
The rapper revealed he weighed 240 pounds before deciding to cut back on his soda intake. Following his diet modification, he dropped to around 185 pounds.
While Rogan was fully supportive of the rapper’s choice to cut soda from his diet, the 56-year-old also admitted that he endorses the “everything in moderation” approach to weight loss and healthy eating.
“The problem is, when people (drink sodas and other sugary drinks) all day, your body doesn’t know what to do with that sugar because it’s so unnatural…the key to these things is once in a while, you know?” Rogan said.
‘Once in a while you reward yourself with a Coca Cola and you’re like, ‘Ah, that’s nice.’ Your body never gets this sugar in the wild. You get sugar from fruit. When you drink a glass of sugar water, it pours directly into your bloodstream. Your body is like, ‘What the fuck?’ added the podcast host and UFC commentator.
Rogan launched his podcast in December 2009 on YouTube, and he interviews a wide range of guests in different industries. As of September 2020, the podcast is exclusively licensed on Spotify.
Over the years, “The Joe Rogan Experience” has become one of the most popular and controversial podcasts in the world, consistently receiving millions of views per episode.

‘Hello everyone, I hope you are having a good evening. I meant I’m not on drugs, I’ve had a lot of people ask me about my weight loss and I guess, on stage. I’m having a lot of fun playing and I’ve never felt healthier,’ Post Malone wrote in the Instagram post’s long caption.
The singer also credited in his lengthy caption that ‘life as a dad’ helped him commit to making better lifestyle choices so he ‘could be there for a long time’ for his baby girl, born in May 2022.
