The official NFL player and Cowboys super fan appeared to meet for the first time on the MetLife sideline before Thursday’s game against the New York Giants.
Aubrey and Malone exchanged a handshake and hug after the signing was completed as photographers and other onlookers surrounded the couple.
Surprisingly, Aubrey made a 60-yard field goal on Thursday, in what has become a common sight for Cowboys fans.

There is a big problem for the Cowboys. Aubrey isn’t getting enough opportunities for shorter kicks, those of 32 to 33 yards with extra points, especially when they don’t reach the end zone until they are in recovery mode.

“You feel like they’re automatic for him right now,” kick returner and receiver KaVontae Turpin said of Aubrey.

The 29-year-old former Major League Soccer prospect and Notre Dame football player, whom the Cowboys discovered in the USFL last year, made a 66-yard score late in the first half in the opener in Cleveland. “I just want to go out and do my job and make sure they can trust me,” he said. “You just want to be part of the team, a positive part of the team.”
