- Disgruntled traditions flood the property
A new mom is left distraught after a disgruntled careerist breaks into her empty Porter Davis Home and vandalizes it.
The woman, who asked not to be named to protect her newborn’s identity, estimated the vandals had caused $50,000 worth of damage to her home in Berwick, southeast Melbourne.
It alleged that angry subcontractors – who were not paid by the collapsed construction company – deliberately left the taps running in the sink and bathroom, flooding the property with more than seven centimeters of water.
They even scratched and crushed doors and walls with a knife or key.
It comes after Porter Davis was forced into liquidation on Friday, forcing the business to halt work on more than 1,500 properties across Victoria altogether.
The woman and her partner are expected to move into the property with their 13-day-old baby on Thursday.

The delivery was supposed to take place on Thursday until the news broke. Today our home was completely vandalized which made it very difficult to move forward.
The woman wondered what they had done to deserve the attack.
“I am absolutely devastated and shocked,” she told The Guardian. Herald Sun.
“We’ve worked so hard and put so much money into this house to just hope we can bring our new baby home this week.”
The woman believed her house was being targeted by merchants left in their pockets.
“What they did didn’t affect Porter Davis at all but unfortunately only us because now the damage is greater than what we have left at home,” she said.
“It’s devastating to understand that someone could actually break into our home and do it.”
The woman said she notified the police after another Porter Davis home in the area sustained the same damage that night.
Other individuals reported that Porter Davies’ properties were targeted by vandals, with three buildings in one reportedly having their windows blown out.

Another man uploaded a video to TikTok documenting the heart-wrenching journey he and his partner took with their homeowner, Porter Davis.
It contains pictures of the site being excavated by the excavator, the concrete being poured and finally the foundations being laid.
But the footage ends with the man symbolically tearing down a Porter Davis sign from the fence next to the semi-finished property.
“On the next chapter of our build,” the caption reads. ‘We have a long way to go.’
