A top adult film actress is suing Pornhub owners Aylo and a director after she was allegedly forced to go ahead with an orgy scene after her co-star overdosed on set.
Melissa Hutchison, who plays Phoenix Marie, claims bosses tried to blacklist her after the traumatic 2023 incident, even though they actually saved the actress’s life.
She is suing director Danny Martin along with Aylo and others for $80 million, alleging she was then subjected to a smear campaign that led to her losing big deals with brands like sex toy maker Fleshlight.
She says her ordeal began when her co-star, an actress named Zaawaadi, ingested too much lithium during a shoot in Barcelona.
Hutchison alleges that director and fellow porn star Martin, also known as Danny D, forced her to continue with a scene even though her co-star nearly died.
Adult film actress Phoenix Marie is suing Pornhub owners Aylo and a director after she was allegedly forced to go ahead with an orgy scene after her co-star overdosed on set.
The porn star, whose real name is Melissa Hutchison, is suing director Danny Martin (pictured) along with Aylo and others for $80 million.
‘Danny D forcibly grabbed Hutchison and forbade him from leaving the set, demanding that he finish the scene. […] “Danny D forced her to have sex despite repeatedly saying no,” the suit states.
She also alleges that Martin was hesitant to call an ambulance and then threw her “to the ground saying, ‘we have to get the story straight.'”
The trauma of the situation left her with “anxiety, panic attacks, sleepless nights, and sexual dysfunction,” according to Hutchison.
She also claims that executives tried to blame her on lithium, falsely painting her as a “deranged and grieving mother” who had become dependent on the drug for her medication following the death of her daughter in 2019.
Hutchison’s filings allege that the lithium belonged to Martin’s girlfriend, but that Martin started a “false narrative that Hutchison had poisoned and nearly killed Zaawaadi.”
‘However, instead of analyzing the facts, the porn conglomerate launched a cover-up; “Executives made Hutchison a scapegoat for the life-threatening incident on one of his sets,” said Hutchison’s law firm, Kerr Simpson.
Hutchison says she refused to accept a $60,000 NDA payment and claims this caused Aylo to harm her financially.
She alleges that the porn conglomerate canceled photo shoots and signing events, unlabeled her, and buried her in videos on Pornhub and other sites it owns.
He says his ordeal began when his co-star, an actress named Zaawaadi (pictured), ingested too much lithium during a shoot in Barcelona in 2023.
Hutchison says she managed to save Zaawaadi’s life but was then forced to continue filming despite her obvious distress.
This led to Hutchison being isolated from her friends and colleagues who fear retaliation from Aylo, to the point that she cannot find a makeup artist willing to work with her, according to the lawsuit.
Aylo is one of the largest distributors of online pornography, “controlling approximately 90% of all content production and distribution,” according to the lawsuit.
This means it has a monopoly position, giving it the “ability to cause significant harm to actors with minimal effort,” the documents state.
Hutchison estimates that Aylo’s actions have cost him nearly $2 million since filming, with tens of millions more in projected losses from the continued manipulation of his algorithm and damage to his brand.
Hutchison says she also suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder from Danny D.’s sexual assault, which has been “devastating both personally and professionally,” her law firm said.
Hutchison’s attorneys filed a lawsuit in Nevada in February, but it has since been moved to federal court at the defendants’ request over jurisdictional issues.
The original suit seeks $30 million, but his lawyers say they plan to file a suit for $80 million, according to the daily beast.
“Melissa saved a little girl’s life on set and was rewarded by Aylo and Ethical Capital Partners with physical intimidation, sexual assault, humiliation, alienation, substantial financial loss, and a smear campaign inordinately focused on her dead son,” a rep said. by Kerr Simpson.
The trauma of the situation left her with “anxiety, panic attacks, sleepless nights, and sexual dysfunction,” according to Hutchison.
“We look forward to helping Melissa obtain justice not only to restore her daughter’s memory, but also to hold the Aylo-Ethical Capital Partners Big Porn conglomerate accountable and prevent them from continuing to exercise their unregulated monopoly power to destroy people’s lives.”
The adult actress also claims that Zaawaadi has been bullied and forced into silence since she saved her life.
Hutchison has 20 years of experience in the industry and is believed to be one of the highest continuously paid porn stars.
