Terrifying police siege as a man wielding a machete, takes a woman hostage in a suburban house – and screams ‘I’m not going back to jail’

A machete-wielding man yelling at the police, “I’m not going back to prison,” has taken a woman hostage in a Sydney house.
Police surrounded the house on Denison Street in Carramar, west of the city, at approximately 1:00 PM after reports of a malfunction.
Witnesses said they saw the armed 35-year-old in a confrontation with police on the front porch before retiring inside.
The couple were still brought into the house five hours after the officers arrived.

Neighbors said the man was recently released from prison and wears an anklet as part of his parole, said 9 News
They also said that the man could be heard shouting, “I’m not coming out, I’m not going back to prison.”
Obviously, the woman was not injured, but paramedics were on the scene.
The police have closed the street and urged residents to stay away.
Some officers were found to be wearing what appeared to be circular saws.
