Police executing an arrest warrant were dramatically forced to pursue a man who fled the scene after dangerous drugs were reportedly found in the property.
Detectives from Mackay District Tactical Operations executed a search warrant on a property on Kinchant Dam Road, Eton, about 20 miles southwest of Mackay, where police said they had found methylamphetamine, cocaine and cannabis.
While the search warrant was being executed, the man tried to run away, captured by one of the detectives pursuing the pursuit on a body-worn camera.
Mackay detectives were forced to chase the man around the property during the search
Police can see the man chasing the man across the rural terrain to the adjacent bushland, where he was caught and arrested.
A 44-year-old Kinchant Dam man was charged with 11 counts, including one count of trafficking in methylamphetamine, three counts of possession of dangerous drugs and other drug-related offences.
The man was due to appear before the Mackay Magistrates Court today.
The Mackay Police Department encouraged anyone with vision or more information about the supply of illicit drugs in the region to contact them.
