Police searched a pond for missing Connecticut mother Jennifer Dulos, who was eight miles away from her estranged husband's house and 75 miles from her hours after his lawyer & # 39; alibi & # 39; claimed it wasn't killing her that he was home when he disappeared.
Jennifer, 50, has not been seen since 24 May when she was last seen waving her children off at school in New Canaan, Connecticut.
Her estranged husband Fotis and his girlfriend Michelle Troconis have been arrested and charged with manipulating evidence after allegedly dropping sacks of sponges and clothes with traces of Jennifer's blood on them when Jennifer disappeared.
Both release bail and are now waiting for their next lawsuit.
On Wednesday, the authorities searched for a pond near Avon, a town near the house of Fotis, but found nothing.
Hours earlier, Fotis & # 39; attorney Norm Pattis claimed that he & # 39; Huge & # 39; alibi had – he was home on the morning of the disappearance and the phone details prove it.
The lawyer says that he met a lawyer until 9 am and then stayed home until 11 am.
It is not known where he was between 11 a.m. and 1.37 p.m. when his cell phone showed him in another area near his house, but his lawyer says the window does not leave enough time to go to Jennifer & # 39; s house to have gone, attacked her and made it back in time.
Pattis did not respond to repeated questions on Wednesday.

The image above shows the area of Connecticut where Jennifer disappeared all day on May 24 and the movements of her ex 70 miles away in Farmington. He says his cell phone keeps him in that area until 11 am and beyond, but his lawyers have not explained why his cell phone was in an area where bloody garbage bags with Jennifer & # 39; s DNA were found that night

& # 39; In the morning he told ABC that there was & # 39; were several & # 39; people who could support his client's story, but he didn't say who they were.
& # 39; There is no disagreement between Mr. Dulos and the state that he was back in Farmington at 1:33 (p.m.)
& # 39; So for our mind, that is an effective alibi.
& # 39; Because to accomplish this crime, Mrs. Dulos dropped the children off at school at around 8:30 AM.
& # 39; The housekeeper was back in the house around noon and did not notice anything wrong.
& # 39; Apparently the garage had not entered.
& # 39; He would be Mrs. Dulos in the garage or another part of the house had to confront her, had to kill her, tried to clean up, had to drop the body in broad daylight on a well-populated part of the state and had to go back to Farmington, & # 39 ; he said.
& # 39; If the electronic data confirms that his devices were in use at that location, it will be an open question whether he used the devices or someone else.
& # 39; But from where I'm from, this is the start of an effective alibi defense.
& # 39; The alibi is huge & # 39 ;, Pattis said ABC on Tuesday.
He could not explain why a man, fitting in with his client's likeness and in the same car as he, was seen that evening with a woman who looks like Troconis, throws trash bags in cans along a road where the police later, if they was tested, found traces of Jennifer & # 39; s blood.
In the meantime, Troconis' lawyer has remained silent.
She met with prosecutors last week and helped them find the couple's joint home.
Fotis Dulos sees jogging on Wednesday morning in a batman shirt, khaki shorts and his ankle monitor the day after placing $ 500,000 bail in the disappearance of his estranged wife
Fotis, wearing a baseball cap and headphones, said nothing as he passed by journalists
The 51-year-old project developer received a guarantee on Tuesday after returning his passport
He described the bloody garbage bags as a & # 39; anomaly & # 39; but also tried to doubt how many were actually found.
Initially, the police said 30 bags had been dropped. Pattis says that he is told that there are only two, but at least they do not prove that his client killed his wife.
& # 39; That is an anomaly for which I have no explanation yet, & # 39; he said.
& # 39; This is a troubled couple going through difficult times.
& # 39; I just don't know (where Jennifer Dulos is) and he doesn't know either. There are disturbing questions or good reason for the police to search and conduct their investigation (into its disappearance).
& # 39; I do not dispute that.
& # 39; We would like to answer these allegations and clear his name & # 39 ;, he said.
Both Fotis and his socialist girlfriend, Michelle Troconis (who leaves the court on Tuesday) did not plead guilty of allegations of manipulating evidence and preventing prosecution
Fotis Dulos left the court on Tuesday afternoon after placing $ 500,000 bond after his not guilty plea for indictment of his estranged wife's disappearance.
Fotis, still dressed in his orange jumpsuit, walked out the front of Stamford Superior Court, flanked by police and got into a black SUV before he was driven away.
Earlier, Fotis appeared with his handcuffs on family law in the Stamford courthouse for a guardianship for his five children.
He pleaded with the Fifth Amendment against self-accusation when his wife's divorce lawyers asked him to testify in the custody case.
Michael Meehan, a lawyer and guardian for the five children of Dulos, who are eight to thirteen years old, said he had visited them at their grandmother's house last week and said that their emotional and financial needs are being met.
Jennifer and her mother's lawyers, Gloria Farber, asked the grandmother for custody of the children who had been staying in her apartment in New York City since their mother went missing.
According to police, there was evidence that Jennifer had been attacked in the garage of her home in New Canaan (above). They found blood spatters and signs of a & # 39; serious physical attack & # 39; there and also found traces of her blood in the kitchen, they said
The police can be seen at the home address of Fotis in Farmington on Friday, where Troconis traveled with the police after giving a video interview to them in the presence of her lawyer
The divorce lawyer of Fotis, Michael Rose, asked that the status quo be observed while Farber still had temporary custody.
Judge Donna Heller ordered a recess on Tuesday while she came to a decision in the case.
Fotis Dulos hired a new criminal defense team this weekend led by Alex Jones & # 39; attorney Norm Pattis, who claimed that & # 39; no proof & # 39; is to prove that his client was involved in & # 39; cheating game & # 39 ;.
Jennifer Dulos (photo) has been missing since May 24 after she was last seen letting her children drop out at their school in New Canaan
During Tuesday's hearing, state attorney Richard Colangelo Jr. informed the court that investigators found the DNA of Fotis Dulos mixed with his wife's blood on a tap in the kitchen of her home in New Canaan.
On Tuesday, both Fotis and his socialist girlfriend, Michelle Troconis, 44, pleaded not guilty of allegations of manipulating evidence and preventing prosecution.
The judge asked that Fotis stay in Connecticut, give up his passport and be equipped with a GPS monitoring device. He set the following date for the court of justice for August 2.
At the hearing, Pattis said: “There is a huge public interest in the case.
& # 39; Mr. Dulos is being tried and convicted in the public opinion court for a crime he has not yet been charged with.
& # 39; What we know is that Jennifer was missing.
& # 39; We have been able to explain Mr. Dulos's movement all along. & # 39;
Pattis said that the Prosecution & # 39; feeds speculation that there is a disintegrated body & # 39 ;.
He called the prosecutor's theory & # 39; ridiculous & # 39 ;.
& # 39; There is no body we know and I am sick of hearing it … my client is entitled to the presumption of innocence. & # 39; We don't know where Jennifer is, & # 39; Pattis said in court.
Pattis also noted that, at the time of Jenny's disappearance, the custody case went to his client's favor, adding that the court & # 39; negative findings about Jennifer & # 39; s mental health & # 39; which he did not want to record at the moment.
According to Pattis, Troconis' lawyer, Andrew Bowman, will not talk to him about what she has told Colangelo.
Colangelo asked for the Fotis Dulos bond to be raised to $ 850,000 because the & # 39; smooth & # 39; is.
He told the court that the & # 39; laboratory was able to confirm that the suspect's DNA was found in a mixture with the victim's blood on the tap in Jenny's kitchen.
The judge asked that Fotis Dulos (shown in court Tuesday) stay in Connecticut, give his passport and be equipped with a GPS monitor. He set the following date for the court of justice for August 2
Troconis (photo) appeared on Tuesday just before Fotis in the courtroom. She was dressed in gray trousers with a light blue blouse and a gray vest. Her GPS ankle monitor was not visible
According to Norm Pattis, Dulos's lawyer, Troconis's lawyer, Andrew Bowman, will not talk to him about what she has told Colangelo (she will be introduced to the court on Tuesday)
Pattis admitted that his client was previously on Jennifer Dulos's days, which would explain his DNA. Colangelo replied that Dulos was the day before Jennifer Dulos's departure, but had not entered the house and was alone in the backyard.
Pattis asked to speed up the test to August.
& # 39; Mr. Dulos is tired of sitting back and hearing people pick out his motives. We are now ready for the trial, & said the lawyer.
& # 39; If he then qualifies, I assure you that the court will house him & # 39 ;, the judge replied.
Outside, Pattis said he believed Troconis cooperates with prosecutors.
& # 39; She spoke to the state, they won't give us a copy of what she said.
& # 39; You do not speak voluntarily with the state unless you work together in some way. She wants something from them. The question is what did they offer her and what did she give her? As close as we can see, she didn't give them anything, & Pattis said.
Troconis appeared in court on Tuesday for her boyfriend. She did not plead guilty to the accusations.
She was wearing gray pants with silver flats, a striped blue blouse and a gray cardigan.
Troconis was accompanied to court by her sister, mother and father.
Her next session date has been set for July 18. Troconis has been out for a $ 500,000 bond since last week after she handed in her passport and is equipped for a GPS ankle monitor.
In the past week, researchers have systematically searched for properties related to The Fore Group, the construction company of Fotis, and the hectares of forests behind the former family home in Farmington.
The police also searched Jennifer & # 39; s New Canaan home where she and her five children lived after they decided to divorce in 2017.
The five children of the couple, between eight and thirteen, are cared for by their grandmother Gloria Farber in her apartment in New York City and are protected by armed guards.
Fotis and Jennifer had been in custody of their five children for the past two years.
A divorce petition for the missing woman stated that she feared that her estranged husband would harm her and that he owned a gun.
It also appeared that Fotis fought his wife's mother in court after he had not repaid $ 1.7 million in loans to his company.
On Thursday, Troconis (right) met a number of hours with investigating officers from the state police and the state attorney in her law firm, where she reportedly made a confession
