BREAKING NEWS: Police SWAT teams react strongly after reports of shootings at mall near Atlanta

Police react vigorously at a mall on the outskirts of Atlanta after reports of a possible shooting.

Multiple ambulances and police vehicles rushed to the Southlake Mall in Morrow, Georgia at about 3 p.m. Friday.

Witnesses told WSB-TV that they thought there had been a shooting at the mall.

Much of the mall’s parking lot was closed off with police tape, and it was unclear whether the apparent shooting took place inside or outside the facility.

A witness at the mall who said an incident happened at Macy’s and may have defected into the parking lot, according to WGCL-TV.

Shops in the mall were all locked.

A Twitter user whose office is near the mall’s parking lot said she saw three to four ambulances leave, while more arrived.

“The police are everywhere,” she added.

Facebook user Colby Price went live with a video showing a major emergency response and a police perimeter around the mall.

He shared from the scene that “a bunch of young guys” had “pulled guns at the mall.” At least one man was seen to be arrested.

Heavily armed SWAT team members were also spotted entering the mall.
