Police investigating the sexual assault of a railway worker on a train have released a photo of a woman they want to question in connection with the incident.

British Transport Police say the suspect got off the train at East Croydon station in south London following the incident on the night of Saturday July 30 this year.

Officers believe the woman in the CCTV image may have information that could help their investigation.

A British Transport Police spokesman said: “A member of railway staff working on the service was sexually assaulted by a female just before 8pm on July 30.”

He then got off the train at East Croydon station.

“Officers believe the woman in the CCTV image may have information that could help their investigation.”
