Police have interviewed a woman under caution over the leak of Ferne McCann’s voice memos, it has been revealed.
In November 2022, an anonymous Instagram account named Lady Whistledown (after the person who shared secret Bridgerton gossip) posted a series of voicemails from a woman they claimed was Ferne.
The pregnant reality star, 32, admitted the voice in the messages was her own, describing it as her “lowest moment”, saying she has been in therapy since the incident.
The posts included ones in which Ferne embarrasses her former friend, fellow reality star Sam Faiers.
In another, her voice can be heard labeling Sophie Hall, one of the victims of acid attacker Arthur Collins, who is Ferne’s ex-boyfriend, a ‘dumb bitch’.
Ferne McCann, 32, described the voice not leaking as her “lowest moment” and admitted she has been in therapy since the incident.
Ferne, who is expecting her first child with fiancee Lorri Haines, 31, said yesterday that she is a ‘different person’ now and that the infamous recordings happened six years ago when she was in a ‘vulnerable situation’.
The Met has now confirmed that a woman has been interviewed under caution, but investigations are continuing.
A force spokesman said Sun: ‘In November 2022, the police received a report of malicious communication and harassment.
“The report was initially dealt with by Essex Police but was later transferred to the Met after it was established that the crimes allegedly occurred in Redbridge.
‘In January 2023, a woman in her 30s was interviewed under caution. Our investigations are ongoing.
On the first episode of Ferne’s new show First Time Mum, which aired last night, she revealed that she thinks she knows who is behind the leak, which she says has left her needing therapy.
In a confessional, he told viewers that he knows exactly who leaked the voice notes, but claimed they had been edited “to remove their context.”

Criticized: Ferne was criticized by acid attack victim Sophie Hall, 27, for her recent ‘disingenuous’ apology after calling her ‘ugly’ in leaked voice memos (Sophie pictured in 2017)

The messages included one in which fat Ferne embarrasses her former friend, fellow reality star Sam Faiers.
On last night’s ITVBe show, Ferne confessed that she recorded the ‘hurtful’ messages because she was envious of Billie’s 32-year-old sister Sam at the time.
She said: “When I heard the voice memos I immediately remembered who I had sent them to, but I think they have since been edited to remove their context.”
‘Because? Because I believe that someone is trying to destroy me and inflict as much damage as possible on my life. There is only one person that I know of who would want to inflict this amount of pain and damage on my life. They destroyed me.
She added during the episode, “I’m so embarrassed and embarrassed and I know words are very hurtful.” It was from a time when she was really hurt and in a very vulnerable and bad place,’ she explained as she reflected as she sat in her car.
They were from about five years ago, when Sam and I had a fight. It’s very difficult for me to talk about this because I don’t want to bring up the past. Would you say those things now? Absolutely not, but those for which I absolutely apologized.
“But now, because of this hate campaign and this person who has held you for five years, to arm you against me, I have lost my… I have lost some of my best friends.
I have lost my entire relationship with Billie and that hurts a lot.
“She’s been my best friend for so many years, and that plays into me not feeling complete, I feel really lost. Friendships are so important.
“And you say things where if you’re angry, or if you’re hurt, you say things.”
Ferne previously faced calls for her show to be canceled after the voice notes were leaked by the anonymous Instagram account.
It has been claimed that they were referring to Sophie Hall, who reached the final of Miss England 15 months after the sickening attack, exposing her scars.

Confession: He went on to describe the incident as not his “finest moment” and revealed that he had attempted to contact those injured by the incident.
Collins is currently serving 20 years in prison after he threw acid at an east London nightclub in April 2017, injuring 14 people.
Ferne came under fire from acid attack victim Sophie Hall, 27, for her recent “insincere” apology after calling her “ugly” in leaked voice memos.
Ferne apologized and admitted that she was the voice in the shocking audio files, but claimed that she recorded them because she feared “serious harm and facing significant threats.”
Sophie has since demanded that Ferne apologize on camera while claiming she couldn’t read her apology statement since Ferne blocked her on Instagram.
