A Maserati driver who allegedly shot a mother who cut him off in Washington DC traffic while her children were in the car next to her has been named by police as a manhunt to arrest him continues.

Shocking surveillance video shows a man walking to the driver’s side of another car before firing through the window.

Police have now named 42-year-old Kenneth Miles Davis as the suspected gunman in the May 19 traffic accident.

Davis, of Latham, Maryland, is still on the run after reportedly fleeing the scene, chief Robert Contee announced at a news conference on Wednesday.

During the 40-second surveillance camera, it appears that the victim cut off the suspect in his sports car, which then led to the shooting.

Her silver car stops in front of the Maserati at a stop where a man, now presumably Davis, gets out of the sports car with a gun.

He walks over to the silver sedan and starts firing, and as it drives away, he walks back to his car, but then starts to turn and shoot at the car behind him.

Davis then gets back into his car and promptly makes a U-turn.

Police said the female driver of the silver car, whose name they did not release, was beaten in the shoulder while her 5-year-old was slashed by broken glass and her 11-year-old was traumatized.

No one was injured in the car behind Davis, police said.

The anonymous driver told NBC Washington that she and Davis “didn’t say anything to each other” prior to the shooting, and she gets “really upset” when she watches the surveillance video, “because I know it could have gone in a completely different direction for something as pointless as gone anger.” .’

Police were able to locate Davis’ car based on tips the department received, and seized the car from a mansion in Hyattsville, Maryland ahead of the press conference.

Contee now once again asks the public for help in finding Davis.

“This person found it necessary to use gun violence to deal with his anger,” said Chief Constable Contee. “I’m here to say that’s unacceptable.”

“Every time I see that video I am disturbed,” he added, “and I hope the community is as outraged as I am.”

Once apprehended, Contee said, Davis will face charges of assault with a dangerous weapon.

A $10,000 reward has been offered to anyone with information leading to the suspect’s identity.
