Police launch search for missing teenage boys, 18 and 19, who disappeared on Bank Holiday night out

Police have launched an urgent search for two missing teenage boys after the couple disappeared during a night out on Bank Holiday.

Lewis Ashdown, 19, and Marc Williams, 18, went to Maresfield Recreation Ground in Uckfield, East Sussex on Saturday night, where they are believed to have met before later going their separate ways.

Marc called his family around 11:30 PM to let them know that he was on his way home but never returned.

Lewis was last seen in Crowborough around 11am on Sunday morning, but has not returned home since.

Agents are now conducting door-to-door, CCTV and area searches as they work to determine their movements.

Marc is white, 1.85 meters tall, slim build and with short blond hair. He was wearing a black T-shirt, trousers, hiking boots and a black backpack.

It is believed he had a hoodie attached to his backpack and was carrying a green mountain bike.

Lewis is described as six feet tall, with short brown hair and glasses.

Chief Inspector Nick May said last night: ‘It has been nearly 36 hours since we have seen one of these two young men and we are increasingly concerned for their well-being.

“Our agents are working around the clock to establish the whereabouts of Marc and Lewis and we continue to call on the public to come forward with relevant information.

“If Marc or Lewis read this, we urge them to get in touch to let us or their families know they are safe.

“Anyone who has seen Marc or Lewis or has information that would assist our investigation is urged to notify us immediately, citing Operation Skittle.”
