Billy Lee Walton Jr., 35, a man wanted for violating probation after an attempted rape conviction, was found hiding under a trap door in the floor of a Tennessee trailer.

Walton had been on parole but was wanted for violating the terms of his release after being arrested June 13 on several drug and traffic offenses.

U.S. Marshals tracked him to a mobile home park in Denmark, Tennessee. After searching the residence, they discovered a hidden space beneath a rug on the floor.

Walton was found inside the compartment, which had been carefully concealed.

Billy Lee Walton Jr., 35, a man wanted for violating probation after an attempted rape conviction, was found hiding under a trap door in the floor of a Tennessee trailer.

“Someone created a good hiding spot, but it wasn’t good enough to outwit the U.S. Marshals Service,” said Sheriff Tyreece Miller.

Walton was arrested and is being held in the Madison County Jail.

This is not the first time law enforcement has had to pursue suspects in unique hiding places.

Emely Yanagida, 35, tried to hide from police in the trunk of her Tesla after stealing $850 worth of products from Lululemon and Sephora.

The California thief was arrested for shoplifting at the Irvine Spectrum Center, stealing $600 worth of makeup and $250 worth of sportswear.

The Irvine Police Department on Saturday released footage showing officers discovering his strange hiding spot, as he hid beneath a bright green tarp in the trunk of his Tesla.

The incident occurred Wednesday when Sephora loss prevention officers alerted police about a shoplifting suspect who had fled the store.

Irvine police shared the video on Facebook, captioning it “Peek-a-Boo” with the hashtags #dontcommitcrimeinirvine.

A bystander tipped off officers to Yanagida’s hiding spot, leading them to the trunk of a nearby Tesla.
