Celena Morrison was arrested along with her husband, Darius McLean (pictured), after a traffic stop escalated on Saturday.

The Philadelphia district attorney and Pennsylvania State Police opened an investigation into the arrests of the city’s LGBT Affairs director and her husband after video of the incident went viral.

Celena Morrison, executive director of the City Council’s Office of LGBT Affairs, was arrested along with her transgender husband, Darius McLean, after a traffic stop escalated on Saturday.

A video recorded by Morrison, who is also trans, shows her screaming “I work for the mayor” as the unidentified state trooper detains her husband. McLean, seen lying on the side of the road while the police officer handcuffs him, calls out to his distraught wife before shouting: “It’s because I’m black.”

“A full investigation, including witness interviews, is underway into the traffic stop and all aspects of the encounter,” Pennsylvania State Police told DailyMail.com on Monday.

Meanwhile, Democratic prosecutor Larry Krasner, one of the progressive prosecutors funded by billionaire George Soros, also opened an investigation and asked the public for help in gathering more evidence, including photographs and videos of the confrontation.

Pennsylvania said an officer stopped Morrison’s gray Infiniti sedan after noticing “multiple Vehicle Code violations.”

“Before the trooper made contact with the operator of the Infiniti, a green Dodge sedan arrived at the scene of the traffic stop and parked behind the trooper’s patrol car,” the department said in a statement.

‘The officer approached the Dodge and the operator of the vehicle became verbally combative toward the officer. The individual refused multiple lawful orders issued by the officer and the officer subsequently attempted to arrest him.

‘The individual resisted arrest on multiple occasions. While attempting to arrest the operator of the Dodge, the operator of the Infiniti approached the trooper and interfered with the trooper’s attempt to make an arrest. Both individuals were subsequently arrested for resisting arrest, obstruction of justice, disorderly conduct and other related charges.

The husband and wife were released without charge hours after their arrest.

Video of the incident was first posted online by someone claiming to be Morrison’s sister and she has since removed it from her Facebook.

While the police officer was next to her husband lying on the side of the road, Morrison is heard saying: “That’s my husband… That’s my husband, please.”

The officer attempted to handcuff McLean and a fight broke out.
