Police attend Airds High School in Sydney’s southwest before a student is charged over an alleged violent act

A teenager has been arrested and charged after allegedly threatening another student with a knife during an altercation at a high school.

Police were called to Airds High School in Sydney’s southwest following reports of a fight at around 2.50pm on Tuesday.

Officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command rushed to the high school and were told a 12-year-old boy had allegedly pulled out a knife at the school, before a physical altercation occurred.

The boy was arrested at a nearby address and taken to Campbelltown Police Station, where he was charged with breach of bail.

He was denied bail and will appear in a juvenile court today.

Police told Daily Mail Australia that investigations are continuing.

This is the second alleged knife incident at a Sydney high school this week.

On Monday, police were called to Pennant Hills High School after an alleged knife incident.

Police were called to Airds High School (pictured), following reports of a fight at around 2.50pm on Tuesday.

Emergency services received a call requesting social assistance at the school in north-west Sydney at around 12pm.

A teenage girl was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for minor injuries.
