Three people have been arrested as a result of incidents at the Championship play-off semi-final clash between Southampton and West Brom on Friday night.
The Saints won 3-1 at St Mary’s to secure a place at Wembley, where they will face Leeds in the Championship play-off final.
However, the clash was marred by ugly post-match scenes as several Southampton fans invaded to celebrate.
Many headed towards the away end and were involved in clashes with West Brom supporters as they were egged on after their victory.
However, the game was marred by fan problems throughout, with Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police revealing on Saturday morning that three fans had been arrested due to events at the match.

In a statement they said: “The vast majority of fans who attended Southampton’s match against West Brom last night, both at the stadium and at the city venues, did so responsibly and respectfully.
“However, there was a minority contingent of fans of both clubs who attempted to commit crimes against public order.”
They went on to explain how a 27-year-old man and a 26-year-old man from Southampton had been arrested on suspicion of entering the pitch during the match.
Meanwhile, a 24-year-old man from Southampton was also arrested on “suspicion of using threatening, abusive and insulting words and behavior to cause harassment, alarm, common assault on an emergency worker and obstructing and resisting an officer in the execution of obligations.’
