A 50-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and firearms violations following a shooting at a home of comedian Russel Kane.
Paul Allen, 41, was shot in the throat when a shooter shot six laps through the conservatory of the house in Woodford Green in north-east London on Thursday.
A statement from the Metropolitan Police said: & # 39; He remains in custody.
& # 39; Detectives from Trident and Area Command investigate and maintain an open mind regarding the motive. & # 39;
Detective chief inspector Nicky Arrowsmith of Trident said: & This investigation is still ongoing and officers continue to follow a number of investigation lines.
& # 39; We are still calling on witnesses or anyone who has information to come forward and talk to the police.
& # 39; The recordings took place in a residential building on Malvern Drive. Were you on Malvern Drive around that time? Have you seen anything unusual or maybe the suspect has fled? & # 39;
Allen was revealed as the & # 39; Enforcer & # 39; who participated in the largest money robbery in British history.
Paul Allen, 41, was shot in the throat when a shooter fired six bullets through a greenhouse of the £ 1.2 million building in Woodford Green, north-east London.
Allen, an ex-cage fighter and convicted robber, had been involved in the £ 5 million Securitas robbery in Tonbridge, Kent in 2006, and was right-hand man with Lee Murray, the leader
A source told The sun: & # 39; The person who did it is deeply concerned that Paul is still alive. & # 39;
A comic spokesman, 43, said: & # 39; Russell & # 39; s thoughts are with the victim and his family in this terrible time.
& # 39; No further comments are made while the incident is being investigated by the police.
Allen, who grew up in Woolwich and was named The Enforcer, moved to the rental house last year with his wife and children, it was reported.
He is for life and is under police surveillance in the hospital.

Residents said Allen was evicted on a stretcher after the shooting just after 11 p.m. on Thursday.
One of them said: & # 39; It is shocking, some people have found out who he was and it is clearly disturbing if you know his history. & # 39;
Another said that they were told that a semi-automatic sub-machine gun or gun was used.
What was the Securitas robbery?
The 2006 Securitas robbery, which & # 39; largest money robbery in Great Britain & # 39; was mentioned, saw £ 53 million of the Bank of England money at the bottom of a truck of seven and a half tons.
Two of the robbers, dressed in police officer uniforms and prosthetic masks, stopped Depot Manager Colin Dixon while on his way to Herne Bay in Kent and kept him at gunpoint to gain access to the site.
Other members of the criminal gang then took 14 Securitas Cash employees hostage while the money was loaded on the van.
Other robbers, who also act as police officers, have kidnapped Mr. Dixon's seven-year-old son and wife from their home and brought them all to a remote farm where they were placed in cages.
Seven men have been imprisoned and collective 100-year sentences handed out for charges such as kidnapping, firearms violations and theft.
Around £ 21 million has been recovered by the police, but the £ 32 million that is still missing is believed to have been spent or not traceable
One of Allen's neighbors described him as & # 39; absolutely huge & # 39 ;.
Allen, Murray, and at least five others had spent months planning the Securitas raid, and after the raid, they fled to Morocco where they spent cocaine-fed parties and spent thousands on breast augmentation operations for women and girlfriends in England.
The depot manager was abducted with his wife and young child to allow access to the gang and 14 staff members were kept under fire while the robbers put money into a 7.5-tonne truck during the 66-minute raid.
Allen was ordered to repay £ 1.2 million from £ 1.9 million that he earned from the robbery, but last year it turned out that he had waived anything but £ 420 of the money after he secretly & # 39; Certificate of Inadequacy & # 39; had submitted.
Allen and Murray fled to Morocco after the raid, but were traced and detained.
Murray serves 25 years in the North African country – but Allen was returned to Britain where he admitted to robbing and abducting, serving nine years from a 18-year sentence.
Allen, a father of three, claimed that he knew nothing about the robbery and that judges could not pass judgment after a first trial in the Old Bailey.
But he admitted that allegations of conspiracy to rob, kidnap, and own firearms should a new trial begin at the Woolwich Crown Court.
He pleaded guilty because he was not one of the robbers who entered the depot, or one of the kidnappers, and that he did not handle firearms.
The shooter on Mr. Kane's estate is said to have shouted the victim through a conservatory six times this week, while a car was waiting on the side of the property on Thursday evening.

Emergency services, including armed police, were present on the site shortly after 11 p.m.
A neighbor said he believed the attack & # 39; targeted & # 39; used to be.
He said: & # 39; A guy had gone down the back, shot through the windows at the back – it looks like a conservatory, six times on a chair, and grabbed him in the throat.
& # 39; I think a car was waiting for him on the other side. It is definitely focused. & # 39;

The resident, who had been living on the street for 20 years, said he had never experienced anything as violent as a shooting in the area before.
& # 39; We thought he would die, & # 39; he added. & # 39; It didn't look good. They were in the ambulance for an hour – it was a nasty turn. & # 39;
The neighbor said that Mr. Kane had left the building a few years ago.
He added: “I did his garden and they had a child a few years ago, so they moved north and rented the house out to these boys.
& # 39; Everyone is in shock. Things like this don't happen here. Fortunately, nobody was caught in the crossfire, mainly because (the tenant) partner was in the house. & # 39;
Another resident on the road added: & # 39; I have known this area all my life and this is not happening here. A recording is very unusual. & # 39;
A mother living opposite her said she was awakened by the sound of & # 39; many gunshots & # 39 ;.
Residents said they had hired a private security company to conduct patrols after a series of car thefts in the residential street, consisting of detached, abused Tudor houses.
An 84-year-old resident said: “It is clear that the target was – they are not coming for me.

& # 39; I was shocked by it, but I am not as shocked as I should be because I know we are breaking into and getting things around here. & # 39;
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: & # 39; Officers, armed police and the London ambulance service attended a man in his forties and suffered gunshots.
& # 39; He has been taken to a central London hospital where he is still in a critical condition.
& # 39; Police were called to Malvern Drive, Woodford Green, on Thursday, July 11 at 11:10 pm after a report of a shooting.
