- Investigation led the officers to another house in Portland, about 20 minutes away
- Armed police saw the premises raided before finding the man’s body inside
The murder and suspected suicide of a woman and a man whose bodies were found in nearby towns in Dorset are reportedly linked, police said today.
Investigators believe the woman was deliberately murdered in her Weymouth home by a man who subsequently fled the scene.
Investigations led agents to another house in Portland, about 20 minutes away by car, where they found the body of a man who loved the woman in his 50s.
Neighbors described today that armed police broke the door of the Portland property last night before finding the body inside.
Police say both victims were known together, but it is not yet clear whether they were a couple. Clearly, the man’s death is being treated as suicide.
