Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation on Sunday at 11am through his monthly radio show ‘Mann Ki Baat’. The Prime Minister is expected to address the issue of the COVID-19 pandemic and explain the latest government guidelines on the nationwide fence to curb the spread of the virus.
On Saturday, the central government extended the nationwide containment zones containing many coronavirus cases to June 30 and announced the gradual lifting of restrictions for the rest of the country.
The Prime Minister’s radio program ‘Mann ki Baat’ is broadcast every last Sunday of the month and the Prime Minister speaks about the latest problems.
The 65th edition of his radio program is broadcast on AIR and Doordarshan. It will also be streamed live on the YouTube channels of AIR, DD News, PMO and Information and Broadcasting Ministry.
In his previous speech, the Prime Minister had urged people to avoid complacency on the assumption that the COVID-19 pandemic would have no consequences for them as it has not so far spread to areas where they work or live, saying “we should continue to exercise caution and take appropriate precautions “.
He had also said that India’s struggle against the new coronavirus was human-driven when he congratulated the Indians for joining forces with the government to fight the pandemic.
