Platoon issues government subpoenas. Why some analysts see a buying opportunity

Peloton Interactive has issued subpoenas from the Department of Justice and Homeland Security regarding reports of injuries from its treadmills. The stock is falling, but some analysts remain optimistic.

Shares of the exercise equipment company (ticker: PTON) closed 8.6% to $1004.34 in Friday trading, while the S&P 500 index rose 0.9%. The latest loss extended Peloton’s year-to-date slip to 31%, although the shares were still 37% higher than 12 months ago.
