Plane passenger ‘attempts suicide in toilet’ on EVA Air flight from Bangkok to London

A plane traveling from Thailand to the UK was forced to make a quick landing at a London airport after a passenger allegedly attempted suicide in the cabin toilet.

EVA Air flight BR67 from Bangkok to London had begun its descent towards the capital when flight attendants realized someone was occupying one of the cabin toilets.

As passengers had to exit the toilet and strap into their chairs for the descent, crew members went to check on the occupant – and made a horrific discovery.

A male passenger was found in serious distress and suffered injuries which prompted cabin crew and a doctor on board to immediately administer first aid.

The individual, whose identity has not been released, was stabilized and rushed to hospital upon landing.

EVA Air has since confirmed the harrowing event but gave no details on the extent of the man’s injuries and did not specify the destination airport – although plane tracking site FlightAware said that The plane had landed at Heathrow at 7:03 p.m. local time, 17 minutes ahead of schedule.
