In April, Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond’s cousin, Caleb, was arrested for over a month after his terrifying car accident that also involved her husband Ladd.

Two months later, Caleb is being charged with DWI after police said he was “tipsy” and “fast asleep” in his car, according to police. TMZ.

The 21-year-old was reportedly sleeping in his car at the wheel when police stopped at his home.

Caleb reportedly finally woke up after falling asleep with his foot on the brake and his car still in the drive.

When told to get out of the car, he allegedly accidentally put the car into reverse before losing his balance.

He had “red bloodshot eyes” and “thick slurred speech” and handed over his credit card instead of his driver’s license.

He is also said to have told police that he “should have been driving” and that he was “glad” that he was “not caught a few hours ago.”

There was reportedly an open beer that was “cool to the touch” and “practically full,” per TMZ with a loaded 9mm pistol and ammunition.

The incident came just a month after his near-fatal wreckage resulted in a head-on collision with Ladd Drummond, Ree’s husband.

Ladd, 51, and Caleb, 21, were each driving a Himmat fire truck on March 10 when they collided head-on after winds reduced visibility, allegedly ejecting Caleb 70 feet from the truck because neither man was wearing a seat belt. wore .

The Osage County Sheriff’s Office has not released detailed information about the arrest and it is unknown if he remains in custody.

After the accident, which occurred on March 10 near Pawhuska, Oklahoma, both men were transferred to St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Caleb was admitted in critical condition with head, arm, leg and internal injuries, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.

Although Ladd initially refused help, he was taken to hospital after learning that his neck had been broken in two different places, which was almost catastrophic.

“Instead of wishing the accident didn’t happen, I’m going to live in a state of gratitude — not just for the boys who are okay, but for the love, kindness, and prayers of so many of you,” Ree wrote. her blog.
