Pink took some time away from her busy Aussie tour on Tuesday to perform for sick children at Melbourne’s Royal Children’s Hospital.

The So What hitmaker, 44, gave them a day to remember as she visited and performed some acoustic songs on her guitar with her daughter Willow, 12.

One of the children appeared on the Today show on Wednesday to talk about the international pop icon’s heartwarming visit, which was organized by Challenge, a non-profit organization that supports children with cancer.

10-year-old Imogen Mulgrew joined the show’s hosts with her parents and said she has been a fan of the pop star for years.

‘It took me a few seconds to realize it was Pink and I can’t explain it (the moment),’ she said.

Imogen’s mum Shannon added: “It’s very emotional because it can be quite isolating in hospital, so for Challenge to organize something like this was just fantastic.”

Pink shared a precious video to Instagram on Tuesday, capturing the sweet moment she visited the hospital and sang her hit ‘Cover Me In Sunshine’ to the children.

Imogen featured in the heartfelt clip alongside Pink, who told the 10-year-old “you’re like a little pear.”

In another heartwarming moment, a mother of a cancer-stricken boy became visibly emotional as she told the singer that her music ‘helped her get through everything he’s going through’.

Pink – born Alecia Beth Moore – captioned the clip: ‘It’s been 22 years since I first visited families at the Royal Children’s Hospital and it was a privilege to return this week.

‘Thanks to everyone who spent time with me. Thanks for sharing your stories and letting us play you a few songs. We will not forget this day.’

Many of Pink’s followers flocked to the comments section to praise her for her extraordinary act of kindness.

‘Many thanks to Pink, Willow and the amazing team! What a wonderful visit, it meant a lot to families and staff. We hope to see you again next time,’ wrote RCH Melbourne.
