Pink calls on parents of 14-year-old YouTuber for ‘exploitation’ of their child for fame

YouTuber Piper Rockelle speaks out after singer Pink called the teen’s parents for ‘exploiting’ her for fame.

How many kids like Piper Rockelle are exploited by their parents? And at what point do the rest of us say…”this is not okay for a 13-year-old to pose in a bikini while her MOM takes the picture?!?!”‘ tweeted the 42-year-old singer on Sunday.

But Piper, who recently celebrated her 14th birthday and has more than eight million subscribers on YouTube, insists her mother isn’t forcing her, just encouraging her to follow her dreams.

“The first thing I want everyone to know is that my mom won’t let me do anything. On the contrary, I’m a kid who had a dream and my mom is amazing enough to help me make it come true,” the YouTuber said. TMZ.

“I don’t think P!nk has ever seen any of my YouTube videos because if she did, she’d see it’s just my friends and I having fun and behaving ourselves. The content we create is the kind of thing that anyone can watch.”

“I know there are children who are being abused and that’s a real problem, but I’m not one of them,” she said.

Speak with Today, Piper pointed out that Pink was also 14 when she joined the all-female group Basic Instinct.

“Ever since Piper was a kid, she has had a strong love for performing and she’s always had a dream,” Tiffany told Today.

She later re-uploaded the post the next day with two adorable throwbacks of herself and her dad with the caption, “Til forever.”
