The devastated loved ones of a 16-year-old girl who tragically died in a multi-vehicle crash have revealed that she donated her organs to save the lives of six other people.
Ruby Crowley was in an Uber on the way to the supermarket with her stepfather Jarrod Stewart, 32, and another teenage passenger when the vehicle collided with two others at an intersection in Pine Lodge near Shepparton, about two and a half hours away. I drove north to Melbourne last Friday night.
Ruby and Mr Stewart were flown to Melbourne before Ruby succumbed to her injuries two days later.
His stepfather was placed in an induced coma due to his serious injuries and recently woke up in Alfred Hospital. He is expected to undergo several surgeries in the future.
Ruby’s death has sparked an outpouring of tributes. The teenager is survived by three younger siblings and her mother Amanda.
Ruby’s best friend Maddison Campbell said she “still had her whole life to live.”

“We had it planned, from having children at the same time and getting married at the same time, we were meant to do it all together because she is my best friend, my rock,” he wrote.
‘There is a huge hole in our world now, but no one’s world has been shattered more than her mother Amanda’s.
“Not only was her partner involved in this horrific accident, but her daughter, with whom she shared an indescribable bond, was taken from her in the blink of an eye.”
Ruby chose to become an organ donor after recently obtaining her learner’s licence.
The selfless act ultimately saved six lives.
“Even though my best friend is no longer here, she decided to donate as many organs as she could in hopes that she could give the best gift of life to someone in need,” Maddison added.
“Ruby explained that in one action, she was just amazing.”

Ruby’s grieving mother Amanda Crowley also paid tribute to her “beautiful baby” who was her “rock” and adored by everyone.
“Ruby was able to donate and give six people a second chance at life… I’m incredibly proud of her,” she told the Herald Sun.
“Our family will never be the same.”
Ruby’s friends have launched a GoFundMe to help with funeral expenses, which has already raised more than $1,500.’
Another friend shared a heartfelt tribute, writing: “You will always be my best friend, my soulmate, my whole world.”
“I will always appreciate you.”
The 30-year-old Uber driver and the occupants of the other two cars suffered minor injuries.
The other passenger in the car Ruby was riding in, an 18-year-old woman, was not injured in the crash.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
Tributes have since poured in for Ruby, who leaves behind her three younger siblings and mother Amanda.
