Six people miraculously survived a plane crash Saturday afternoon after the pilot parachuted near Butler Memorial Airport in Bates County, Missouri.

The plane, a single-engine Cessna C206, crashed in a hay field near the airport outside Kansas City shortly before 1 p.m. Saturday.

The Bates County Sheriff’s Office said the plane was found just east of the runway.

The pilot was wearing a parachute and was able to jump out of the plane before the accident. He was found in an airport hangar.

The other six passengers were treated and released at the scene, it reports. KCTV5.
