Tygalgah plane crash: Pilot rushed to hospital

A young pilot was rushed to hospital following a light plane crash.
Just before 12.30pm on Sunday, emergency services were called by members of the public to the scene of the crash on Tumbulgum Rd in Tygalgah, near the town of Murwillumbah in northern NSW.
Miraculously, the 20-year-old pilot of the downed craft appeared to suffer only minor injuries.

However, we were rushed to Tweed Hospital for a full check-up.
An ambulance spokesman later said the man was treated for minor scratches.
A crime scene has been established at the accident site and police are investigating the incident.
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau has been informed and is investigating.
