President Trump is winning.
There is simply no other way to fairly interpret the fact that he has just reached a new record in his approval rating.
Even better for Trump, he is officially more popular than his predecessor, Barack Obama, was exactly at the same stage of his first term as president.
According to the NBC / Wall Street Journal survey, Trump now has an approval of 47%, compared to 45% of Obama two weeks before the midterm elections in 2010.
Trump is winning. There is simply no other way to fairly interpret the fact that he has just reached a new record in his approval rating. According to a new poll, Trump is now at 47% approval
Given all the fire, brimstone and perpetual indignation over Trump since winning the White House, this is a truly remarkable state of affairs.
Of course, the liberals of the United States will respond to the shock poll in the way they respond to all things Trump, with fury, disbelief and putting their collective heads in the sand.
"HOW CAN IT BE HAPPENING?", They will regret, without control.
"WHAT F ** K IS INCORRECT WITH THE PEOPLE YOU LIKE?", They will shout at each other's kale salads.
"THIS IS THE END OF THE EARTH OF THE PLANET!", They will Sob, in a simple and discreet way.
All of which will be music to Trump's ears, a man who delights in liberal hysteria because he knows it works for him, as this new poll shows.
The more the Trump-bashers are abused and mistreated on him, the more his base is fired, and in fact, the more Trump shoots himself.
Obama's approval rating was only 45% at the time of his term. The more they mistreat the Trump-bashers, the more their base shoots, and in fact, the more Trump shoots himself.
After all, deep down, the president is a New Yorker who fights on the street and loves a good scrap.
And within two weeks, it can give the biggest coup de grace of his presidency.
Until recently, it was widely assumed that Republicans would lose control of the House of Representatives in midterm elections.
It was described as a "damn referendum on Trump" and, historically, most presidents, like Obama, get hit in the midterms.
But now, I'm not so sure.
In fact, I would say that there is a good chance that Republicans will cling to the House of Representatives, as well as the Senate, and Trump will advance in favor of what could be an even greater victory in 2020.
Why is this happening?
Well, first, the American media has become the child that cried wolf.
His constant collective outrage at every little thing Trump says, tweets or does, largely driven by commercial interest, has had the inevitable effect of diluting the impact of that outrage.
Hardly a week goes by without a supposed new "Trump crisis," which fuels wall-to-wall cable news coverage and the terrible predictions of impeachment or even jail time for the President.
However, in a few days, every "scandal that threatens the administration" dissolves into a gigantic hamburger.
Liberal celebrities are so bad, they shout relentlessly on social media about their hatred of Trump, who seems to ignore the fact that nobody cares more. We just assume that all celebrities hate it because they think it's "great" to do it.
The effect of this endless hysterical cacophony, as I have repeatedly warned, has been to make Trump increasingly popular with his base and with the Republican Party.
Each "scandal that threatens the administration" dissolves into a hamburger of nothing. Celebrities are screaming for their hatred of Trump, but it seems "great" to do so. This endless hysterical cacophony has made Trump increasingly popular with his base and the Republican Party.
More significantly, as this survey suggests, it has also begun to move moderately without a particularly animated vision of Trump more than a place to tolerate it.
And those are terrible news for the Democrats, because their only game plan with Trump is to abuse him and rely on mockery and ridicule as an electoral strategy.
It is the same faulty, arrogant and elitist mentality that led Hillary Clinton to describe Trump supporters as "a basket of deplorable people" in a speech that I still believe did more than anything to lose her in the elections.
I look at the Democrats today and I see a party that learned absolutely nothing about how to beat Trump.
And I see a president who is getting stronger every day.
Trump has become a political Godzilla, crushing all those who dare to challenge him and working his way through an agenda that begins to pay real dividends.
In less than two years, Trump got two nominees to the Supreme Court, consolidating a conservative majority.
It has reduced taxes and regulations, sparking a boom in the US economy that shows no signs of stopping, an increase in jobs and a record low unemployment.
Trump forged a peaceful dialogue with North Korea, started a trade war with China that many think is long overdue, withdrew from the obviously flawed Iran nuclear agreement and the Transpacific Partnership, forced Mexico and Canada to update NAFTA , the harassed countries of NATO to pay their bills, and bombed ISIS from Iraq and Syria.
It has also severely repressed illegal immigration.
As I write this, a "caravan" of more than 7,000 Central American migrants, most of them from Honduras, is moving toward the southern border.
They intend to enter the United States illegally.
It's hard to think of a more powerful image to claim Trump's much-criticized demand for a new "Wall," is not it?

While tweeting: "Every effort is being made to stop the attack of illegal aliens crossing our southern border … Caravans are a disgrace to the Democratic Party." Change immigration laws NOW!
Trump clearly believes that this caravan will help the Republicans in the midterms, and so will I. I hope to see the President on that border very soon, playing Mr. Tough Guy.
The combined effect of all these "triumphs" (obviously, this is a subjective word if you are a democrat) is that Trump enters this election in an increasingly dominant position as president who is doing exactly what he said he would do.
I also think he is a president who is starting to enjoy a lot.
When I saw him several months ago for an interview on board Air Force One, I was surprised at how relaxed and confident he seemed.
He exuded the air of someone who had discovered how Washington works, or rather, no! – and how to play the broken, highly partisan system in their favor.
As for the investigation of the special lawyer Robert Mueller on the Russian collusion, all the indications suggest that this could soon generate a great caress.
Of course, Trump remains a hugely divisive and polarizing figure with a penchant for flying with truth and charged with inflammatory rhetoric.
But love it or loathe it, you can not deny that it is winning.
So, once again, I can only recommend that Democrats stop their ridiculously counterproductive state of perpetual Trump indignation and find out how they are going to defeat him.
Because right now, Trump is kicking you a **.
