He is enjoying more downtime after resigning from Good Morning Britain earlier this year.

And over the weekend, Piers Morgan, 56, sang and danced at a boozy family reunion while throwing a lavish party at his Newick, East Sussex home for his stepfather Glynne’s 80th birthday.

In videos posted to social media, the TV personality was amid a crowd in the yard, kicking his legs high as he pulled out a Frank Sinatra classic.

Piers’ biological father Eamonn O’Meara died when the presenter was just a baby, and Glynne became his stepfather after marrying Piers’ mother Gabrielle.

At the sun-filled birthday party, Piers posed with eldest son Spencer as they stood on either side of Glynne, holding up glasses of champagne.

He shared the snap on Instagram, writing: “Three generations of trouble. Happy 80th Dad!’

Elsewhere during the event, Piers was filmed losing an arm wrestling match to his youngest son Stanley, much to the TV host’s dismay.

But the former GMB star was soon cheered up by a facetime of footballer friend Jamie Vardy and his wife Rebekah.

Piers had prepared a feast for the guests, with chicken, sausage, pasta, potatoes and salad to feast on, while tables were filled with wine, beer and champagne.

His son Spencer also showed off the family’s plush pool and outhouse, keeping temperatures soaring at 35 degrees.

The family reunion comes after Piers claimed ITV wants him to return to Good Morning Britain after leaving the show like a bomb in March.

The host dropped out of the breakfast show after his comments about Meghan Markle and the subsequent on-screen clash with co-star Alex Beresford.

On Saturday, he said bosses have “contacted” about a possible return and that he believes he can “bring the ratings back to where I left them” after a slump in ratings.

He told The sun: ‘They reached out – there have been approaches. Never say never. I have no doubt that I can take the reviews back to where I left them – but the doubt is if anyone should be allowed to do it that way again?

“I was hired to give very strong, honest opinions, which I did. But in the end I was asked to apologize for a sincere opinion.’

He added, “I’ve had some rather random third party feelers put out to see if I’d consider returning to the show.”

The broadcaster also said it would “seriously consider” going back if it “could tear everything apart” and “do it my way”, adding that he wanted to produce and present the show.

Piers also told the publication that ITV had not offered him any therapy since his departure and that he has still not heard from Alex after their altercation prompted him to walk away.

ITV has been contacted by MailOnline for comment.
