A garbage truck was swallowed by a huge sinkhole on a Welsh seafront.
Workers jumped from the truck as it plunged into the 10ft hole on Rhyl’s seafront, while pedestrians looked on in shock.
Ifor Leyshon, 52, a dog walker, said: “It was an amazing place. The garbage truck was there one minute and the next it went into the hole.
“It’s fortunate that neither children nor pets were swallowed at the same time.”
About a third of the truck disappeared underground, but city officials said fortunately no one was injured.
