Malvern residents were left baffled after a shopping trolley was discovered hanging from the top of a lamppost.
Fire crews were called to deal with the “dangerous structure”, which was seen perched around 32ft in the air at a retail park in the Worcestershire town.
Gemma Barker, who noticed the strange sight, said: “Yesterday afternoon after work I walked into the retail park and looked up as I approached M&S at the trolley hanging from the lamppost and couldn’t stop laughing.
“It seemed like it wasn’t possible for something that heavy to be up there, and yet it was.
“I have no idea who did it or how they did it, but it made me laugh.
“I honestly thought no one would believe me if I told them, so I tried to photograph it as best I could.”
