The first pictures were taken of a five-year-old boy who drowned in a swimming pool with his family on the Greek island of Kos.
Theo Treharne-Jones is supposed to have fallen into the pool Saturday morning after he had strayed alone before the parents Nina Treharne and Richard Jones, both 38, were awake.
Neighbors today described Theo as a & # 39; sweet young boy & # 39; and said the news of his death & # 39; absolutely heartbreaking & # 39; used to be.
Close family friend Beverley Herbert said that Nina and Richard had gone on vacation to the Atlantica Holiday Village as part of a group of ten – including the three brothers and sisters of Theo – after the death of Nina & # 39; s mother Patricia Winston for a few weeks earlier.
Theo Treharne-Jones (pictured left, with father Richard and his younger brother) drowned Saturday in a pool in Greece after allegedly straying while his parents were still asleep
Among the group were Nina & # 39; s sister Sara, her partner and their children.
Mrs. Herbert (40) said: & Nina and her sister Sara were destroyed when Pat died and they said they all needed a vacation to cheer them up.
& # 39; They wanted to spend time together as a family and remember Pat. So the two sisters, their partners and their children all went to Greece for a break. & # 39;
She added: “Losing your child under all circumstances is the worst nightmare of any parent, but losing a child like this is absolutely heartbreaking.
& # 39; I can't imagine what poor Nina has to go through. She must go through hell all over again. They were all so enthusiastic about the vacation.
& # 39; Theo was a sweet boy. He and his younger brother spent all their free time up and down on a trampoline in their back yard. They loved it.
& # 39; Nina is a wonderful mother. God knows what happened. It's just awful. & # 39;
Another neighbor, Keith Payne, said: “I would always see Theo in close play in his battery-powered small car, with Nina behind. They are a nice family. & # 39;
Lewis Powles, who lives opposite the family, said: & Theo was a very sympathetic little boy. I can't believe what happened. It's just tragic. & # 39;
Theo was found dead on Saturday and his grandfather plans to fly to Greece today to support the family.
The police in Greece are investigating the tragedy and have interviewed Theo & # 39; s parents and hotel staff as part of routine investigations.

A spokesperson for travel operators TUI said: & We are aware of the tragic incident in the holiday village of Kos, Greece and our thoughts are with the family.
& # 39; Our team at the resort are currently supporting the family and we will continue to help in any way.
& # 39; The safety and well-being of our customers and employees is our primary concern and our dedicated resort team works with the authorities and hoteliers.
& # 39; As the matter is still being investigated, it would be inappropriate to comment further at this time. & # 39;
Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council deputy leader Lisa Mytton said that her & # 39; thoughts and prayers & # 39; were with the family.
She said: “It is with great sadness that the local authorities are aware of the tragic death of one of our kindergarten students, Theo Treharne-Jones, while on vacation with his family on Kos.
& # 39; The municipality will continue to support Theo & # 39; s brothers and sisters who also visit schools in our county Borough and friends and staff at Theo & # 39; s school. & # 39;
Richard plays bass guitar in a popular cover band called Red Heeled Suspects that play performances and festivals in South Wales.
An official from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office said: & # 39; We support the family of a British child who died in Kos, Greece, and our staff are in contact with the local authorities. & # 39;
