A murder investigation was underway today following the death of a ‘beautiful’ mother of four at a residential area in North Wales.

Numerous floral arrangements, balloons, photos, written messages, candles and stuffed animals were left on the sidewalk of the hall where Co-op employee Jade Ward, 27, was found dead Thursday morning.

A 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

The police detectives were at a taped-up house in Chevrons Road, Shotton, and in the front yard was a blue and white tent. It is believed that Jade lived with her mother and was married.

Jade’s sister Taylor Wesley has now set up a GoFundMe page that has already raised more than £3,400 for Jade’s children.

Our beautiful Jade was unfortunately taken from us on August 26, 2021 in such a cruel and sad way! Our lives will never be the same without you girl, a piece of us went with you Jade,” she wrote on the page.

Zack Robinson, her cousin, said she had four sons. He said, ‘I am lost for words. It’s a part of everyone in the community who is gone. It will never be the same without her.’

Taylor Wesley said: ‘She had four beautiful boys. It’s very, very tragic. No one knows much about what happened at this point.

‘We were best buddies. She was my soul sister. We used to go on day trips. There wasn’t a day that we didn’t see each other. She had four children and I have four too.

“She was a beloved member of the community, a devoted mother who lived and breathed for her children and worked part-time.

“There is a sense of total shock in the area. Tomorrow we’re going to release a balloon.’

Kennedy Plant added: ‘There was always a smile on the face, always so happy. She loved life.’

Chief Inspector Jonathan Salisbury-Jones said: ‘We want to reassure the public that there is no ongoing threat to the wider community.

“Specially trained agents support the family of the deceased.”

Taylor said they wanted to raise money for Jade’s sons to help them “have the best start” after the tragedy and “give them the best Christmas.”

She added that a balloon would be released on Chevrons Road at 3 p.m. on Saturday, with everyone welcome to attend and pay their respects – and said people could take balloons of any bright color to reflect Jade’s “bright personality.”

A spokeswoman for the North Wales Police Department said: ‘Just before 09:20 this morning we were informed of an incident at a property on Chevrons Road, Shotton.

Unfortunately, a 27-year-old woman was found dead at the scene. A 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and an investigation is underway.’
