Hunter Biden’s iPhone contained images of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia before his October 2018 gun purchase, new evidence that he lied about his addiction when he bought the gun, Justice Department documents show.

Hunter was charged three times in September with firearms offenses by special prosecutor David Weiss.

The charges include making false statements on a federal firearms form and possession of a firearm as a prohibited person, in this case a drug addict.

Tuesday’s filing shows photos and text messages from Hunter’s iPhone of him engaging in drug deals and discussing his drug use with his then-girlfriend, Hallie Biden, the widow of his late brother Beau.

“Prior to October 12, 2018 (the date of the gun purchase), the defendant took photographs of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia on his phone,” the documents say. “Also prior to purchasing weapons, the defendant routinely sent messages about purchasing drugs.”

In a series of messages, Hunter asks for “baby powder” and “really soft stuff.”

On October 13 and 14, the days immediately after purchasing the gun, Hunter texted his ‘girlfriend,’ as referenced in the filing, telling Hallie about ‘meeting a drug dealer and smoking crack.’ ‘.

Hunter Biden’s iPhone contained images of “apparent cocaine, crack cocaine, and drug paraphernalia,” according to a document filed Tuesday by the Justice Department.

“For example, on October 13, 2018, the defendant messaged her and said, “…I am now on MD Av behind Blue Rocks Stadium waiting for a drug dealer named Mookie,” the documents say. .

“The next day, the defendant texted her and said, ‘I was sleeping in a car smoking crack at 4th and Rodney,'” documents continue.

‘You’re crazy. This is not a game. And you are being totally irresponsible and unhinged,” reads a text message from October 23, 2018.

In a later text message, he criticizes her for getting rid of the gun.

“Who in their right mind would trust you to help me sober up?” Hunter asks, referencing that he had a run-in with the FBI over the gun.

The Justice Department document notes that the text messages came after his “interactions with law enforcement.”

A response from Hunter’s ‘girlfriend’ read: ‘I’m sorry, I just want you to be safe. That wasn’t safe.’

“And it was unlocked, with the windows down, and the kids searched his car,” he continued.

‘You have lost your mind, hunter. I’m sorry I handled it poorly today, but you are in huge denial of your reality and I just want you to be safe. You run away like a child and blame me for your shit. Hopefully one will leave, repeatedly prove they can’t stay, and really work on themselves,” he said. “It’s easier for you to avoid looking inward and being a coward to constantly blame me.”

In later texts he tells Hallie Biden that he is an ‘addict’.

He also tells one individual, labeled “Person 1” in the record, that “I’m a better man than any man you know, whether he smokes crack or not.”

In a final text sent to a ‘Person 2’ at the presentation, Hunter writes: ‘I’ll get sober when I want to be sober.’
