A herd gets in shock! Photographer records the moment that 5,000 birds form an exclamation mark in the sky
A flock of birds screamed birds in spectacular fashion as a predator rushed in for the murder – forcing them to give the shape of an exclamation mark.
Photographer Nuray Gonulalan was surprised when she looked up and saw the familiar punctuation mark – often associated with shock or panic – above her.
She grabbed her camera and captured the group of birds in their striking formation as they desperately tried to escape in Mogan Lake, Ankara, Turkey.

Gonulalan said: & # 39; It was an incredible once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to catch the board, recognized by everyone.
& # 39; It was my lucky day, I received many photos of this event. Nature was very generous to me that day. & # 39;
Nuray had been waiting patiently, hoping to photograph a rare bird when she saw the fleeing flock out of the corner of her eye.
But after being distracted by the amazing shape of the group, she quickly turned her attention to the flock of around 5,000 birds.
She said: It was almost like they were crying for help – just like you would see in a cartoon.
& # 39; Between 4,000 and 5,000 Sturnus Vulgaris birds were present that determine their flight direction by the sun. When the predator went inside, they started making interesting shapes and flying formations to prevent this.
& # 39; It was an incredible sight – I will never forget it. it was a visual feast that changed every second. I could not stop looking until the end. & # 39;
