Once Emily and Andrew were both present, Mark said he inadvertently “broke the ice” in the room by informing the crew that their breakfast was in the plan.

Mark said: “So everyone laughed, including Prince Andrew.”

When the interview began, the photographer said it didn’t take long for the “dismayed” team to realize they had a “huge” scoop.

He continued: “When the thing started, my gaze stayed fixed on the cameraman.

“I was standing right behind one of the cameramen, and I could see the other one on the other side, and I was just determined to catch his eye, and the eyebrows went up and the hands went over the mouth .”

The photographer said he covered his mouth when Prince Andrew claimed he was at Pizza Express in Woking on the day he was accused of meeting accuser Virgina Roberts.

Mark added: “Then I thought, ‘That’s a title. And then another one came along and it was like, “Oh, that’s a title.”

“I certainly didn’t know it would be in the news five years later, but here we are.”

Mark continued, “She pauses and says, ‘Yes, sir, it was a walk in the park,’ and there’s kind of a tumbleweed moment.

“I’m stuck between the two of them and finally he says, ‘Yes. The Park, New York. The park. And he picks up his little gag (about his walk with Jeffrey Epstein in Central Park, which Emily questioned). him about).

“At that point I thought, ‘I can’t believe you think everything went well, because the rest of us are all getting attention,’ and I was told to just go out and to put the document in press.”
