Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm couldn’t help but laugh during viral singer Ingrid Andress’ shaky rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the MLB Home Run Derby.

The 27-year-old, a first-time All-Star, struggled to contain himself as Andress repeatedly stumbled off-key while singing the U.S. national anthem before the show-stopping event at Globe Life Field on Monday night.

At one point, as the ESPN broadcast focused on him, Bohm can be seen burying his head in his chest as he clearly wanted to avoid showing the smile on his face in public.

“Bohm almost lost it,” one person wrote on X, while another noted that the Omaha, Nebraska, native was like “all of us” during Andress’ performance.

“The players deserve credit for keeping a straight face,” another user added.

“My ears are bleeding. One of the worst renditions of the national anthem ever,” another person shared.

Andress has yet to address the reactions to her performance.
