Snake v snake: very poisonous cobra swallows a python in its entirety before the local population kills it in the Philippines
- Terrified residents of Kibalawan, Philippines, clubbed the cobra until it died
- The Philippine cobra is very toxic and killed the python with a bite
- Python was digested in the stomach of the cobra when villagers cut it open
This is the moment when a stomach was stirred after a whole python was swallowed.
Terrified residents saw the highly toxic Filipino cobra in a rice field in Davao del Sur in the south of the country on Wednesday afternoon.
It had killed the reticulated python and swallowed it all, with only the tail of the victim hanging on his jaws.
This image shows the aftermath of a Philippine cobra trying to eat a reticular python. The cobra, depicted on the head, killed the other snake before swallowing it completely and hanging its tail on its jaws
The jaws of the cobra are firmly clamped to the abdomen of the python. In Kibalawan, where this happened, a number of recent snake attacks killed the local population
The panicked residents – who in recent years have seen several people succumb to cobra bites – hit the predator with a bat until it died.
They then cut open the cobra and found the python in his stomach.
A villager said: There are many snakes in our area, but this is the first time we have seen a cobra eat a python.
& # 39; We've had people die of cobra bites before, so my neighbor killed the snake as soon as he saw it. & # 39;
Instead of risking another snake attack, the villagers killed the cobra
The incident was recorded in a remote village near the town of Kibalawan on the island of Mindanao in southern Philippines.
After the cobra was killed, residents used a machete to cut it open. They estimate that the cobra was about 12 feet long while the python was smaller, measured between 6ft and 8ft.
The incident was reported to local village officials who warned residents to watch out for snakes in the fields.
