Jalen Hurts was forced out early in the Eagles' game at the Commanders with a concussion

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was sidelined for several minutes in their game against the Washington Commanders after suffering a scary head injury.

Hurts was returned to the locker room early in Sunday’s game with a concussion after being crushed by Commanders linebacker Frankie Luvu at the end of a 13-yard run.

In addition to taking a blow to the helmet, the 26-year-old’s head also appeared to hit the ground after Luvu’s hit, before being replaced at quarterback by Kenny Pickett after entering the blue medical tent.

He eventually left the tent, put on his helmet and attempted to return before being escorted back by team personnel.

The Eagles have now confirmed that Hurts has been ruled out of Sunday’s match due to concussion.

While being evaluated, Pickett threw a touchdown pass to AJ Brown, giving Philadelphia a 14–0 lead midway through the first quarter. Hurts went to the locker room after the ride ended.

The Eagles, 12-2, are in the hunt for the top seed in the NFC, joining the Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings, who are also 12-2. Hurts was 1 of 4 passing for 11 yards and running for 41 before leaving the game against Washington.

The Philadelphia superstar once again wore different colored cleats on the field before suffering a head injury, despite being fined $5,000 by the NFL last week.

And in an apparent attempt to throw shade at the competition, he also arrived for Sunday’s game in a two-tone gray and black suit.

Hurts has led the Eagles to a franchise-record ten games this season, giving them a formidable 12-2 record.

After Sunday’s game against the Commanders, Philadelphia closes the regular season at home against the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants.
