Shaquille O’Neal has admitted to spending $1,000 on pedicures on his “ugly, stinky” feet, and the former NBA star even decorated his worn-out toes.

O’Neal, a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame, accumulated 41,918 minutes in 19 NBA seasons.

And in his own words, O’Neal’s feet “stink,” leading the former Lakers star to try to improve them with some paint schemes.

“I give about $1,000 because I know my feet stink, I know they’re ugly and I like to paint them,” he said in The great podcast with Shaqvia PEOPLE.

“I paint that shit because it’s ugly and I want it to look pretty,” she continued, adding that she likes having “sparkles and designs” on her feet.

SportsCenter’s official Instagram account then reshared the shorten from O’Neal’s podcast and included a video of him showing off his blue-painted toes.

O’Neal said he actually started painting his toes when he was still an active NBA player, and the big man almost missed a game because he had a toenail torn off.

His mother apparently helped him recover for the game.

“I was like, I ripped my toenail off, so [his mother] He did something and then put some red polish on it and I had 40 in that game. So I thought, you know what? I’m going to start painting my toenails.’

Nail painting has become more common in sports recently, with recent Bears draftee Caleb Williams and NBA prospect Jared McCain (formerly of Duke) becoming known for painting their nails.
