Phil Neville’s son, Harvey, has signed his first professional contract with Manchester United.
The 18-year-old, who was a defender just like Dad Phil and his uncle Gary, signed a one-year contract with Old Trafford after turning 18 late last month.
Harvey broke the news on his own Instagram account and revealed that he had signed a contract.

He said, “Proud to have signed my first professional contract with Manchester United.”
He continued, “Thanks to all my family and coaches for their support.”
His dad Phil was among the first to comment on the post, firing red, white and black circles – United’s colors – adding a heart emoji at the end.

Harvey’s final job is to earn a place on United’s Under 23s side before attempting to break into the first team, like his dad and uncle.
He follows in famous footsteps, with Phil playing for United, Everton and England, while his uncle Gary spent his entire playing career with the Red Devils.
Both have won the Premier League several times and captured the Champions League – while Gary has had a successful career as an expert.

Harvey – who is also the cousin of former English netball international Tracey – could have followed a different path from Gary and Phil after starting his career at Manchester City.
He also spent time in Valencia when his father was a coach there – with Gary also taking over the Spanish side for a short while.
However, he returned to United in 2018 and has also spent time with the Republic of Ireland youth lineup.
While now a defender, Harvey started in midfield before moving to a right-back berth – like both Phil and Gary.
