The Swiss Pharmacists Association said the country was experiencing a shortage of medicines due to supply chain problems linked to the COVID-19 lockdown measures in China and the Ukrainian war.
“The biggest problem we face is with children’s medicines, especially fever-reducing medicines,” Inia Martinelli of the Pharmacists’ Association told the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation.
“There is also a shortage of medicines for blood pressure, mental illness and Parkinson’s disease,” he added.
The head of the Swiss Medical Association told Radio and Television that this situation sometimes forced doctors to buy medicines from abroad.
