MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine delegation to the 2023 Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) generated $3.15 million in sales from the top-quality products it showcased to an international audience there.
The event took place from September 12 to 15 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Under the banner HALAL Philippines, Philippine exporters representing 17 Philippine companies presented a wide range halal products – including food and drinks, cosmetics and personal care items.

“We are proud to represent the Philippines at MIHAS 2023 and showcase our high-quality Halal products to a global audience. This event perfectly aligns with our objectives to promote the growth of Halal trade and strengthen our position in the international market,” said Leandro Luis Manantan, Chargé d’Affaires of the Philippine Embassy.
Bianca Sykimte, Director of the Export Marketing Bureau Ministry of Trade and Industrycalled the success at MIHAS an important step in increasing global awareness of halal Philippine products through trade promotion, in accordance with the Philippine Export Development Plan (PEDP) 2023-2028 and the Philippine Halal Export Development and Promotion Program.
