PGA Tour star Ludvig Aberg felt the full wrath of Colorado’s high altitude after suffering a nosebleed mid-round at the BMW Championship on Saturday.

However, incredibly, the Swede didn’t let this derail his bid for a second career win, instead holing a monster putt immediately afterwards to stay in contention.

Aberg, the biggest name in Swedish golf right now, ended up with a bloody nose while playing at Castle Pines, which sits at an average altitude of 6,200 feet in the Colorado Rocky Mountains.

Considering the highest peak in his entire country sits at just under 7,000 feet, it’s fair to say he’s not exactly accustomed to high altitudes, which was evident on the first hole on Saturday.

While preparing for a 53-yard birdie putt on the par-5, the 24-year-old had to take a short break when his nose started bleeding.

Aberg could see the funny side as he wiped his nose with a tissue, while cameras captured him bursting into laughter on the pitch.

“Welcome to Colorado,” said NBC analyst Smylie Kaufman. “This altitude, the dry air.”

However, after stuffing a tissue up his nose to block the flow of blood, Aberg capped an incredible hole by making birdie from 53 yards.

He was all smiles after the stunning putt, before finishing at -1 on the day and dropping his score to -10 heading into Sunday’s final.

Aberg currently sits tied for third in the standings with fellow Swede Alex Noren, while American Keegan Bradley leads the way at -12.

He made a birdie from 53 yards.

But then he followed that up by sinking a monster 53-yard putt for birdie on the first hole.

Australia’s Adam Scott sits in second at -11, while American duo Xander Schauffele and Wyndham Clark round out the top five tied for fifth at -7.

A heated finish left Bradley in the lead by one stroke after the third round at Castle Pines.

The 2025 Ryder Cup captain birdied the final two holes to complete a 2-under 70 and move to 12-under 204 heading into Sunday. He was the last to enter the 50-player field and had led the leaderboard after the first round of the penultimate FedEx Cup playoff event.

Saturday was an up-and-down round for Bradley, who made eight birdies and six bogeys and hit just 50 percent of the greens in regulation. But Bradley’s putter bailed him out and he took first place for the day with 1.11 putts per green in regulation.
