The second round of the PGA Championship was delayed due to a fatal accident near Valhalla Golf Club, and Scottie Scheffler (pictured) was later arrested due to a bizarre misunderstanding.

The second round of the PGA Championship was delayed Friday due to a fatal accident near Valhalla Golf Club.

A pedestrian was reportedly hit and killed by a bus outside the golf course.

The game will begin at 8:35am ET/1:35pm BST, one hour and 20 minutes later than scheduled, with all spectator gates opening at 8am in Kentucky.

In a turbulent start to the second day at Valhalla, world number one Scottie Scheffler was also detained in handcuffs by police outside the club after a bizarre misunderstanding on Friday morning.

In notable footage, which has gone viral on social media, Scheffler is seen being led to a police car in handcuffs after attempting to enter Valhalla ahead of his second round at the PGA Championship.
