Big hitter Bryson DeChambeau pierced club pro Kenny Pigman with an errant shot at the US PGA Championship on Thursday.
34-year-old chief golf pro Pigman is set to rub shoulders with the sport’s biggest stars at this week’s PGA Championship, but unfortunately for him he’s gotten a bit too close than he’d like .
DeChambeau is known for his bomber workouts, but he may have taken the big shot too far in his first round of the US PGA Championship.
The LIV Golf star once again ruffled some feathers when he sent an approach shot so sure as he hit one of his fellow competitors.
Pigman was addressing his ball about to tee off on the 18th tee at Oak Hill Country Club.

Just as he placed his driver’s head behind his ball, Pigman could be seen ducking and covering his head, the standard reaction to hearing a “fore” shout on the course, on the ESPN broadcast.
As he crouched down, a stray bullet hit him in the shoulder. He came out of DeChambeau’s club on the 17th hole, less than 200 yards away.
The show noted that, thankfully, DeChambeau had called “forward,” allowing Pigman to warn in time to get to safety.
It can’t have hit Pigman too hard as he simply got up and brushed off the incident. However, that might have shaken him up as he continued to bogey on the 18th.
DeChambeau has made a habit of annoying fellow pros on the course, including Brooks Koepka, and has been criticized in the past for not yelling “forward”.

Pigman is a club professional at Arrowhead Country Club in San Bernardino, California.
But the American clearly meant no intentional harm in this case and would have come to apologize to Pigman.
Despite the horrific shot, DeChambeau managed to come away with minimal damage on his scorecard, making a bogey save.
He also had a great round, sitting tied for the lead at three under at 14 holes.
